Machneyuda restaurant, Jerusalem, Israel

 

With three Jerusalem chefs running the show, this rustic haven for foodies offers a changing market-to-table menu with all ingredients sourced from the nearby Machne Yehuda Market. The various fish and sea food served in the restaurant are from local suppliers, as well as the meat (beef and lambs) that comes from local Israeli farmers. When you enter the restaurant you’ll see wooden crates filled with fresh and colorful fruit and vegetables from the near by market, While the scenery on the second floor is in a fact an open “storage room”. Olive oil, wine bottles, risotto rice, dates honey, Italian tomato tins and different spices are just some of the ingredients that decorate the shelves and open cupboards. “Machne-yuda” Restaurant has a unique and varied wine menu which gives and tasty food matched only by its electrifying atmosphere.
